Intelligent Scan is actually just a combination of two screen lock options that Samsung had previously had on the Galaxy S8, namely iris scanner and face recognition. This feature will analyze the face seen by the front camera and lighting conditions around the user, then the system will determine the most appropriate screen locking method between the two to use.
If intelligent scan is activated, after the user turns on the screen, the system will first use the face recognition method. If this initial authentication fails, the phone will immediately scan the iris. If the condition is not so ideal for both scans, the system will combine the two to open the screen. Take it easy even though the process seems very complicated, but all these processes run very instant.
Even though it sounds sophisticated, we feel that there is a problem, especially in the iris scanner. Because several times the Samsung Galaxy S9 that we tested, failed to scan when the eyes were blocked by glasses. This allows the sensor to hold more information in a faster time before sending it to the processor. The existence of the DRAM layer with the 2 gigabit LPDDR4 specification includes increasing noise reduction capability in shooting in dark spaces with multi frame processing technology and enabling the cellphone to capture more frames in one second leading to super slow motion video recording capabilities.
Not only is the sensor the camera brain that is developed optimally by Samsung. The outermost part of the camera sector, the lens is also strengthened. With Samsung Galaxy S9 +, Samsung Galaxy S9 became the first cellphone to have dual aperture technology. The 12MP censored main camera that the Galaxy S9 has is paired with a lens that has two levels of openings at once, F / 1.5 and F / 2.4.
